Trance 是什么鬼音乐来的？！恶心到半死！！！
阿顺知道在这个充斥着 Top40s, Retro, RnB, Hip-Hop, Eurodance（俗称 Techno）的舞曲界里，无论阿顺怎样苦口婆心、用心良苦、误人子弟地把 Trance 说到多么好，也是徒劳的。阿顺曾在几个论坛（online forum）努力“宣扬 Trance 法”，无奈都无法引起共鸣，而且还屡被羞辱。呜呼哀哉！
阿顺声明：阿顺无意在此为大家洗脑。所谓“To each his own”，各花入各眼，各音入各耳，听得爽就好，不爽也就算了，也无需把任何音乐种类批评到一文不值。阿顺一向觉得音乐是无界限的，大家都应抱着包容、开放的态度去听各种类的音乐，才能真正享受音乐，感受音乐。
如果你是那种开口闭口都说“I hate Trance!”或“I rather die than listen to Trance”，阿顺请你花五分钟读一读以下阿顺瞎掰的 Trance 的十大误解。

误解一：Trance 就是 Techno
真相一：Trance 实际上是锐舞派对上的电子流行曲，加上了旋律的 Techno，所以严格来说， Trance 并非 Techno。许多人把 Trance 当成 Techno，其实这些人连 Techno 是什么都搞错了。我们俗称 Techno 的舞曲其实是 Eurodance。顾名思义，Eurodance 是流行于欧洲的商业舞曲，传来本区域后，经商家包装，摇身一变成“Techno”。从此以后，所有听起来像是电子舞曲的音乐都被归类为“Techno”。这个畸形的音乐现象都是拜商家充满误导性的宣传所赐。
按：阿顺不会详谈电子音乐的分类，因为阿顺不是一个高谈阔论，大言不惭的人，呵呵。有兴趣者请浏览 Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music。
误解二：Trance 听起来都是一样的
真相二：Trance 其实是多元化的，并包括许多分类，如 Ambient Trance, Progressive Trance, Uplifting Trance, Vocal Trance 等等。各分类都有各自的特点，并非同一调调。
误解三：Trance 是 Ah Beng 音乐
真相三：如果 Trance 是 Ah Beng 音乐，那么具权威性的 DJmag Top 100 DJs Poll 2004 前三名 DJ：Tiesto，Paul Van Dyk 和 Armin Van Buuren 都是名副其实的超级老 Ah Bengs 了。
误解四：Trance 连带毒品
真相四：无庸讳言，在外国的夜店，毒品肆虐。由于 Trance 带迷幻的色彩，嗜毒者就利用它的激情旋律支配毒品，所以许多人都把 Trance 联想到摇头丸之类的毒品。其实， Trance 的旋律就能让人跟着哼起来，而且充满了人的情感；毒品与 Trance 的结合绝对是自甘堕落者的消极愚昧促使的，与 Trance 的音乐本质毫无关系。
误解五：在新加坡除了阿顺没有人听 Trance
真相五：请浏览 TranceRepublic。

误解六：亚洲歌星如郑秀文、陈慧琳和黎明曾经唱过类似 Trance 的歌曲
真相六：这些歌手唱的都是一些类似 Eurodance 的歌曲，并非 Trance。迄今，亚太区唯有 Ayumi Hamasaki 诠释过 Trance 的歌曲，而且水准很高。
误解七：本地音乐电台常播放 Trance
真相七：除了 WKRZ 91.3 偶尔播放（WKRZ 91.3 播放的多是 Top40s 和 Eurodance），其他的电台都不播 Trance。
误解八：本地的夜店常播放 Trance
真相八：本地的夜店霸王 Zouk 的常驻 DJs 大都是 House 和 Progressive DJs，邀请的海外知名 DJs 多数是 House DJs。而 Mohammad Sultan 街夜店的 DJ 都是播放 Top40s, Retro, RnB, Hip-Hop, Eurodance 舞曲的。目前只有在 Zouk 和 Liquid Room 偶尔能听到 Trance。
误解九：Trance 不能像 Retro 一样唱
真相九：Vocal Trance 琅琅上口的程度与 Retro 相比是有过之无不及的。不信的话就听听 Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes。
误解十：阿顺要大家爱上 Trance
真相十：拜托啦！有可能吗？

Had lotsa misconceptions like many people out there too, though I wouldn't know much nor know well about Trance(most probably I wouldn't even know how to group them, oops), but keeping an open mind, Trance is indeed much more enjoyable and interesting than what they are branded with.

Indeed.... within the categaries of trance, u can also love one type and hate another... its kinda unfortunate for pple to associate trance and techno just because of 'electronic' feel. i feel there is quite a clear line of difference.

Ting: The media plays an important role here. Many things about dance music portrayed by the media are misleading, especially the 'Techno' deeprooted misconception. But I'm in no position to change anything also. As I said, for each his own :)

patricia: hehe! Yes, Ayumi has a few Trance albums in stores, released a couple of years ago. Her songs are remixed by international Trance DJs and I would say they are of pretty high standard. Not the kind of 'Best Techno 2004' u saw on TV commercial...eg. Chinese 'Techno' like 'Huang Hun' Eurodance remixes...over commercialised stuff lol!
